Despite my difficult past, once I gain confidence I evolve well, and I'm very happy when my human comes home from work. Although I'm still fearful, I allow myself to be handled without a fuss! I'm calm and patient at home.

I'm looking for an experienced family who will give me time to progress at my own pace. As soon as I feel comfortable in my new home, I let my family pet my head and back. While I'm not really fond of being stroked, I'm gradually learning to like it. However, when we have guests, I prefer to retire to a quiet corner.

​

I can stay at home on my own without getting into mischief, and I love food! I love it so much that I'm currently on a little diet to get back into shape. I also enjoy playing, but I tire quickly. Chewing bones and playing with my little squirrel are two of my favourite activities! I'm learning to walk on a leash, so I'll have to keep working on that.

​

I'm still stressed in the car and can't get up the stairs, so I need someone to help me make progress. Little by little, I'm becoming a real family dog! I understand that I'm not a "turnkey" dog like some people would like, but I do deserve to find my perfect match, right?!

​

I'm looking for an adoptive family who lives in the Greater Montreal area, as I'll be having a dental procedure in the next few months. The organization will cover the costs of course. I just need to make sure that my family can take me to my appointments.
