About me
Hi, it's Rubens! I'm finally ready for adoption after 10 months with Mission Mayday. It's taken a long time to heal my huge neck wound, but I'm finally feeling better. I've made a lot of progress in my foster family, so I can now make a great companion for someone who'll give me lots of love!
Even though I used to be a stray cat, I must confess that I've become addicted to being petted! I beg my humans for cuddles when they're sitting or lying down. These are our special moments! I'm not very fond of being picked up, but I'm always happy to snuggle up to you when you're relaxing! I'm also playful by nature, but have a moderate energy level.
I quickly discovered that I love living in the safety of a house! I was immediately housebroken, I never make a mess, and I'm not a bother. My foster mom says I have a funny little quirk: I make a lot of noise when I eat, groom or purr. I'm sure my adopters will think it's quite cute!
I'm shy at first, so I'm looking for a patient family who will give me time to feel at ease. You'll see how rewarding it is to give a new life to a former street cat! Once I trust you, we'll form a deep bond. I'm very greedy, so food is a good incentive to gain my trust.
Cats
I can live with cats, but I must admit I don't always respect their bubble.
Dogs
I used to live with Mayday and tolerated his presence since he left me alone.
Other pets
I've never lived with small pets, so I don't know how I'd behave with them.
Kids
I'd do better in a home without young children, as I'm not used to them.
