About me
Hi, my name is Octavia! I’m a one-year-old kitty looking for my forever family. I’ll bring lots of life into your home: I’m playful, full of energy, and always ready for fun! I’m also very affectionate with my humans and I purr constantly, even if I’m not really the lap-cat type.
Even though I come from the street, I’m truly sweet. I love being petted, though like many cats I don’t enjoy being picked up. When I play, I make sure to keep my claws tucked in so I don’t hurt anyone—yes, I’m that delicate! I also enjoy watching the world outside through the window.
I think I’d really love living with children, to have friends to play with. A good play session every evening is a must—a simple string toy will do the trick as it's my favourite! I’m looking for a family who will take the time to make me run and jump to my heart’s content.
I have my little ways at home: I adore “my” rocking chair and my cozy cardboard box. I settled in quickly! I’m very talkative—I meow quite a bit, especially in the morning, because I want human company. Early risers would probably be the best match for me! And plants should be kept out of reach, since I like nibbling on them, which is dangerous as some are harmful to cats.
I was taken in by the organization a few months ago. I had two surgeries to remove my tumors, and thankfully that issue is behind me. But I did end up hospitalized for a kidney infection, which left me with permanent kidney damage.
Now I just need a special veterinary diet and bloodwork every 6–12 months to monitor my kidney values. Because of this, I’m available for compassionate adoption. It’s also important that I remain strictly indoors—I have a fragile health, and I don’t get along with dogs or cats.
Life hasn’t been easy since my rescue, but I’m finally ready to spread my wings! I’m so grateful for this second chance, and hope to quickly find a family who will love me despite my little difference.
Cats
I don’t get along with other cats.
Dogs
I dog like dogs so I can’t live with dogs.
Other pets
I’ve never lived with small pets, so I don’t know how I’d react.
Kids
I’m very gentle and would do great with children!
