Blood transfusions save lives, and not just for us humans, for dogs and cats too! Without donors, this type of care would not be possible, and the centres are short of blood donors.
What are the benefits (depends on the centre)?
▪️ A free blood test will be carried out to check that your pet is healthy. In the event of any abnormality, you'll be notified so you can treat your pet accordingly.
▪️ If necessary, your pet will receive a free blood transfusion in the future (in certain centres).
▪️ A free bag of food and/or a small remuneration.
To be a donor, your pet must:
▪️ be in good health and easy to handle;
▪️ be between 1 and 8 years old;
▪️ be spayed or neutered;
▪️ have up-to-date vaccinations;
▪️ never have had a blood transfusion;
▪️ have a healthy weight;
▪️ not have a raw meat diet.
