About me
Hi, I'm Sibylle! I'm an adorable 5-year-old cat looking for my forever home! My foster family describes me as sociable, calm, and affectionate. I'm a little shy at first, so I hide, but once I feel comfortable, I'm a great companion. I'm used to being the only pet in the house, which suits me perfectly because I love peace and quiet!
My favourite places to sleep? On the humans' bed and on my cat tree. By the way, I've been told that the organization will give my tree to my future family, because I already had it in my previous life. I also really like my cactus scratching post. Other than that, I'm friendly with the people who visit us and I stay close to them. People also say I'm a chatterbox; I meow a lot!
I'm house-trained and do not destroy anything. As you might expect, I love food, so much so that I'm still obese despite being on a special diet. I've lost weight, but lately it's plateaued. However, I've made progress as I'm now able to groom myself. I still need help cleaning my groin area because I have trouble licking myself there, but it's much better than it used to be.
I spend most of my time napping, but I must admit that I enjoy playing with mouse-shaped toys when I feel like having some fun! I'm very friendly, but I don't like being held or having my belly rubbed. I let humans know when I've had enough, so as long as you respect that, everything will be fine.
I’m on a special veterinary diet because I’ve had urinary issues in the past. I even needed surgery to remove bladder stones. It’s really important that my future family keeps me on this specific food to reduce the risk of problems coming back. Because of my extra weight, I sometimes struggle to groom myself properly, which has caused skin issues before — but don’t worry, everything is under control now thanks to the gentle help I get with occasional baths! Finally, I’ll be getting a cardiac ultrasound soon, as the veterinarians detected a heart murmur. Mission Mayday is committed to covering this exam so I can continue my journey toward a healthier, happier life.
I'm looking for a family who's ready to give me a chance! I deserve it and I'll prove it to you, I promise!
Cats
I prefer to be the only cat in the house because I've never lived with other cats
Dogs
I've never met a dog, so I would prefer a home without one
Other pets
I've never met small animals, but I might be able to live with them
Kids
I would be more comfortable with children aged 7 or older who will respect my space
