Sokitakon

Hi humans, my name is Sokitakon, and I’m finally ready to find my match for life! I’ve just turned one year old and weigh about 37 kg (81.5 lbs). I’m a loyal boy who forms strong bonds with my family. As for my breed mix... honestly, I’m not quite sure myself! But one thing I know for sure: I have a whole lot of love to give!

I’m looking for an experienced family who can give me the calm, peaceful environment I need. The city is simply a little too overwhelming for me. I didn’t get the easiest start in life, and I need someone who will be patient with me, help me build my confidence, and support me as I continue learning how to be the best companion I can be! For several months, I spent my days and nights tied up outside. Then, thanks to Chiots Nordiques and Mission Mayday, I discovered something completely new: life as an indoor dog. And guess what? I LOVE it!

At home, I’m a total cuddle bug. I love being close to my humans and getting all the pets I can. I’ve also learned so much already: I’m house-trained and can be trusted loose in the home when I’m left alone. When visitors come over, I just need a little time and a proper introduction because strangers make me nervous. But once I understand that someone is a friend, it doesn’t take me long to warm up to them!

Outside, I have to admit that I react to other animals, and I’m not a big fan of strangers coming too close to me. So I’m looking for a quiet place where there aren’t too many stimuli. On the other hand, I’m very well behaved in the car, so I’d be super happy to go on adventures in nature with you. I have plenty of energy and I’m happiest when I can exercise, explore, and play!

I’ve already come such a long way since coming into care, and I’m ready to keep working on myself with a dedicated human or couple who’s looking for a long-term companion. I know I’ll need your time, patience, and understanding... but I promise I have an incredible amount of love to give in return. Do you think we might be meant for each other?!
